Admission and Eligibility of Bachelor of Technology

Admission to our undergraduate B.Tech programs is conducted through transparent and merit-based processes, in accordance with government and university guidelines.

Admission Process

Admission to B.Tech courses is carried out through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Eligible candidates are allotted seats through Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC), administered by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to B.Tech programs at REC Basti, candidates must fulfill the following criteria :

Academic Qualification

Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational Subject.

Must have obtained a minimum aggregate percentage as per AICTE/AKTU norms (subject to annual updates).

Entrance Examination

Must have appeared in JEE (Main) of the current admission year.

Seat allotment will be based on JEE (Main) rank and the counselling process conducted by UPTAC.

Domicile Requirements

Uttar Pradesh candidates must fulfill domicile conditions as prescribed by the State Government.

A certain percentage of seats may also be available for candidates from outside U.P., based on norms set by AKTU and AICTE.

Fee Structure

The fee structure is as per norms laid down by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and AKTU. Detailed information is made available during the counselling and admission period.
